Senior or Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform (Canada)

Overview

Build and operate highly available, scalable data infrastructure and services that process blockchain transaction data at petabyte scale.

What you'll do

• Build reliable data services integrating with dozens of blockchains.
• Develop real-time ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Design data models supporting sub-second blockchain data queries.
• Deploy and monitor large database clusters for performance and high availability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers.
• Create self-service automation for database scaling and maintenance tasks.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience architecting distributed systems through production deployment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL.
• Experience with data stores and engines such as Iceberg, Trino, BigQuery, StarRocks, or Citus.
• Experience with Airflow, DBT, Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
• Experience deploying and monitoring cloud infrastructure with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Datadog.
