Overview
Senior Performance Engineer to plan and execute performance engineering activities for large-scale identity services in cloud-native environments.
What you'll do
- Define and execute performance testing strategies for identity management products and services.
- Plan and run system-level load, scalability, endurance, stress, reliability, regression, baseline, and benchmark tests.
- Define performance metrics, analyze results, identify trends and trade-offs, and communicate findings.
- Troubleshoot and isolate performance and reliability issues using root-cause analysis across components.
- Profile Java applications, tune stacks, analyze memory, and optimize using diagnostic tools.
- Own performance work across planning-to-completion, including documentation and stakeholder communication.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software development experience, including substantial experience with Java.
- 5+ years of experience in performance engineering (or closely related discipline).
- Experience developing and executing load, scalability, endurance, stress, reliability, regression, baseline, and benchmark tests.
- Strong load-generation, measurement, observability, monitoring, and profiling tools experience.
- Ability to write performance tests and automation in Python, Java, Scala, Go, or comparable languages.
- Experience performance-testing LDAP, Java, web, and distributed applications in regional/cloud/hybrid deployments.
- Experience with JVM internals for performance tuning, garbage collection, and memory management.
Nice to have
- Experience with Gatling, JMeter, or comparable performance-testing tools.
- Kubernetes and GKE or AWS experience, including resource measurement and sizing.
- Experience improving performance testing via AI-assisted analysis or automation.
