Overview
The Senior Petroleum Production Engineer – Offshore is responsible for safe, reliable, and optimal operation of offshore wells and facilities. The role leads production surveillance, data quality assurance, and performance diagnostics, translating insights into optimization and reliability improvements.
What you'll do
- Serve as technical lead for offshore production engineering and prioritize work to improve production, reliability, and integrity across the asset lifecycle.
- Lead advanced production surveillance for complex offshore systems by establishing surveillance plans and communicating insights to regional teams.
- Evaluate and support well stimulation programs, including candidate selection, job reviews, and post-job performance assessments.
- Conduct Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) and Rate Transient Analysis (RTA) to diagnose performance and support recommendations and model updates.
- Build, calibrate, and maintain integrated well/network/facility models to test operating scenarios and optimize production targets.
- Compile and interpret waterflood surveillance data and translate findings into optimization recommendations and follow-up actions.
- Coach and mentor ENGINE production engineers through technical reviews and reusable templates.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or another engineering discipline (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in production engineering.
- Demonstrated experience executing production surveillance, well optimization, and system diagnostics for producing assets.
- Working knowledge of well stimulation design and evaluation, including screening candidates and interpreting post-treatment response.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PTA and RTA is a plus, including interpretation into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of well productivity analysis under flowing conditions (e.g., nodal analysis, IPR/VLP concepts) is required.

- Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
- Work hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday (may evolve based on operational/business requirements).
- Experience specified: 10–15 years of experience (expected to independently execute and continuously improve workflows).
