Operations Engineer

Overview

Operations Engineer supporting offshore facilities for bp India through operations and engineering technical service.

What you'll do

• Identify and solve operational problems in offshore process facilities.
• Conduct process surveillance, monitoring, and optimization for oil and gas offshore operations.
• Review and analyze production deferrals and implement improvement actions to prevent recurrence.
• Apply root cause analysis to eliminate recurring failures.
• Support hub capacity reviews, debottlenecking, and production opportunity identification.
• Recommend and support upgrades and improvements to main complex and well head platforms.
• Accelerate digitalization by developing integrated system models and running models for optimization opportunities.

What you'll need

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry or a related sector.
• Degree in an engineering discipline (chemical, process, mechanical, rotating equipment, electrical, or instrumentation and control).
• Ability to provide technical recommendations across surface engineering disciplines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex technical and operational issues.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBi, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Fluent written and spoken English for communication at all organizational levels.
• Fluent written and spoken Hindi for communication at all organizational levels.

Details

• Based in Mumbai; offshore facilities visits are required.
• Travel requirement: up to 10% with this role.
• Remote work: position is not available for remote working.
