Staff Software Engineer, QE

Overview

Staff Quality Engineer on the Content Portfolio team, driving test strategy, automation, and quality ownership to support reliable software releases at scale.

What you'll do

• Lead development of test automation frameworks across UI, API, and GraphQL.
• Design and integrate AI evaluation frameworks for LLM feature accuracy and reliability.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, and code generation.
• Lead performance testing and monitoring implementation.
• Build custom reporting and analytics for test coverage, flaky tests, and quality metrics.
• Optimize CI/CD test execution pipelines for faster feedback and shift-left testing.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical issues and mentor QE engineers.

What you'll need

• 8+ years in software quality engineering with 2+ years at Staff/Lead level.
• Deep proficiency in testing TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend ecosystems (React, Webpack or similar).
• Expert-level experience with Playwright or comparable end-to-end automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium WebDriver).
• Experience with unit and component testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, or React Testing Library).
• Track record designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch or at scale.
• Experience integrating and optimizing test suites in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite, GitLab or similar).
• Experience with GraphQL APIs, including integration tests and validating query/mutation contracts.
