Staff SW Engineer (6+, Golang)

Overview

Staff Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and operating large-scale migration solutions for mission-critical financial platforms, with a focus on Golang and distributed systems.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product component requirements.
• Translate functional requirements into system designs and component interactions.
• Design and develop extensible product components and reusable code.
• Lead design and code reviews to maintain quality and coding standards.
• Build and operate data-intensive migration pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production incidents during on-call rotations.
• Develop tools, monitoring, testing, and automation to improve system performance and reliability.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of relevant work experience, or the stated advanced-degree or PhD alternative.
• Experience designing and executing large-scale portfolio migration strategies.
• Strong expertise in Golang and distributed systems handling high-volume workloads.
• Experience with AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, KMS, and Valkey.
• Knowledge of asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and large-scale data movement.
• Experience troubleshooting complex distributed-system production incidents.
• Ability to lead complex engineering initiatives across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment processing, card issuing, digital banking, or other mission-critical financial systems.
