Senior Principal Engineer - IT Quality & Assurance Testing

Overview

Lead quality engineering and test automation across web, desktop, API, database, and AI-powered applications. Build scalable automation solutions and guide QA/Automation teams.

What you'll do

• Build scalable UI, web, API, and desktop automation frameworks.
• Automate web applications with Playwright, including cross-browser and mobile web testing.
• Automate desktop applications with TestComplete.
• Validate REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, SQL data, and backend integrations.
• Integrate automated tests with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply AI tools to test design, code generation, debugging, and test maintenance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop QA/Automation teams.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright, TestComplete, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Java.
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile, test strategy, risk management, defect management, and quality metrics.
• Strong SQL, relational database, REST API, and end-to-end testing skills.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with visual regression, accessibility, contract testing, and behavior-driven development.
• Knowledge of AI security testing, hallucination detection, and safety validation.
• Experience implementing AI-powered test optimization and maintenance.

Details

• Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.
• Location: Pune.
