Java Lead Application Developer

Overview

Lead application development for high-throughput, low-latency Java microservices and enterprise APIs. The role covers solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, production support, and technical guidance for other engineers.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java microservices.
• Build RESTful APIs and event-driven interfaces.
• Design asynchronous workflows using Kafka or JMS.
• Implement persistence with Oracle and MongoDB.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and containerize services with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Support production incident triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java 17 or 21 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• Knowledge of clean code, SOLID, DDD, and TDD/BDD.
• Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban practices.
• Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Micrometer, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk or ELK.
