Java Backend Lead - Vadodara

Overview

Lead the design and development of scalable Java backend applications using Spring Boot and microservices. Provide technical direction across architecture, delivery, quality, and production support.

What you'll do

• Lead backend application design and development.
• Drive solution design and architecture decisions.
• Build microservices and REST APIs.
• Lead initiatives from development through deployment and production support.
• Mentor developers through technical and code reviews.
• Resolve technical challenges, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Mobile, QA, and DevOps teams.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Experience leading technical teams or complex engineering initiatives.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing REST APIs and distributed backend services.
• Ability to make technical design and architecture decisions.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and secure coding.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Payments or FinTech domain experience.
• Apache Kafka or event-driven technology experience.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and database optimization.
• Experience with Spring Security, cloud platforms, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Git, and code quality tools.
