Java Engineering Lead - Vice President

Overview

Java Engineering Lead (Vice President) leading development and delivery of scalable, secure, maintainable applications.

What you'll do

• Lead developers to design, develop, and deploy applications.
• Architect and implement backend services with Java and related frameworks.
• Drive containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply DevOps practices with Maven/Gradle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, business, and QA teams for alignment.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and mentor team members.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in Java and frameworks including Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Spring Cloud.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
• Experience with build tools: Maven and Gradle.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture/design patterns.
• Leadership and team management experience; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
