Java Back End Developer - Vice President

Overview

Senior Backend Principal Developer responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing critical backend services for an enterprise-scale integrated digital experience platform.

What you'll do

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of backend services and APIs.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for backend development.
• Develop backend components for authentication, authorization, content routing, and data integration.
• Define and evolve backend architecture for scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Implement security measures including SSO and centralized entitlements.
• Optimize performance using caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and efficient data access.
• Mentor senior developers and lead code reviews and technical best practices.

What you'll need

• 8-12 years of extensive backend software development experience.
• Experience architecting and leading complex, large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Expert-level proficiency in modern Java backend programming and frameworks.
• Practical experience with distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful API design.
• Experience with IAM solutions including SSO protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Cloud-native development experience including Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP/AWS.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database technologies.
