Overview
Staff SW Systems Engineer leading sustenance engineering for Network Automation and Orchestration products.
What you'll do
- Technically lead the sustenance team for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing network automation/orchestration products.
- Own the sustenance engineering lifecycle including defect resolution, enhancements, and maintenance releases.
- Drive engineering excellence via debugging, root-cause analysis, code quality, and regression testing.
- Analyze production issues and customer-reported defects and drive timely resolutions with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor team members on troubleshooting, design principles, coding standards, testing practices, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Development, QA, Customer Support, and engineering teams to ensure end-to-end issue resolution.
What you'll need
- 8-13 years of experience.
- Complete exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle.
- Microservices-based architecture and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s), and Helm charts.
- Strong coding and debugging experience with Java or Golang.
- Linux OS proficiency, advanced data structures, and IPC mechanisms.
- Agile development with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline, and Git environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with network orchestration platforms and automation frameworks.
- Background building scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical teams.
- Familiarity with containerized deployment architectures and orchestration platforms.
- Prior experience with telemetry and streaming analytics.
