Overview

Staff SW Systems Engineer leading sustenance engineering for Network Automation and Orchestration products.

What you'll do

• Technically lead the sustenance team for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing network automation/orchestration products.
• Own the sustenance engineering lifecycle including defect resolution, enhancements, and maintenance releases.
• Drive engineering excellence via debugging, root-cause analysis, code quality, and regression testing.
• Analyze production issues and customer-reported defects and drive timely resolutions with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor team members on troubleshooting, design principles, coding standards, testing practices, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, QA, Customer Support, and engineering teams to ensure end-to-end issue resolution.

What you'll need

• 8-13 years of experience.
• Complete exposure to the entire Product Life Cycle.
• Microservices-based architecture and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s, K3s), and Helm charts.
• Strong coding and debugging experience with Java or Golang.
• Linux OS proficiency, advanced data structures, and IPC mechanisms.
• Agile development with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline, and Git environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with network orchestration platforms and automation frameworks.
• Background building scalable, highly available distributed systems.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical teams.
• Familiarity with containerized deployment architectures and orchestration platforms.
• Prior experience with telemetry and streaming analytics.
