Overview
Lead backend development for composable commerce solutions using the commercetools platform and microservices architecture. The role focuses on scalable services, integrations, platform quality, and technical guidance.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and commercetools extensions.
- Implement commercetools components including catalogs, customers, carts, orders, pricing, and inventory.
- Develop middleware, event-driven services, and integrations with enterprise platforms and payment gateways.
- Troubleshoot and improve backend services, integrations, performance, and system stability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Conduct code reviews and promote development, testing, security, and architecture standards.
- Create technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, and integration workflows.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Node.js, Java, TypeScript, and composable commerce architecture.
- Experience developing scalable, headless eCommerce solutions.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
- Ability to work in CST time zone.
Nice to have
- Experience with L3 or L4 support in a support account.
- Experience with commercetools APIs, GraphQL, custom extensions, subscriptions, and integrations.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
