Sr. Software Engineer/Staff - Java, Distributed System (Evergreen)

Overview

Staff/Sr. Software Engineer role in the Workspace ONE Intelligence team building and managing an AWS-based cloud service for digital workspaces.

What you'll do

• Drive design and development of major architecture components.
• Participate in software development phases including requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Support peers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical insights.
• Improve DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes to help the team work more efficiently.
• Drive API excellence including API versioning and REST vs GraphQL considerations.
• Support on-call responsibilities and improve their efficiency.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with cloud service architecture/design foundation.
• Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
• Experience with microservice architectures and high-performance, high-scale systems.
• Cloud services experience, preferably AWS (including EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, RDS).
• Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across cross-functional teams.
