Senior PySpark Developer – Vice President – Market Risk

Overview

Senior Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst for Market Risk, responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team, leading applications systems analysis and programming activities.

What you'll do

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals, and identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
• Resolve a variety of high impact problems and projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provide expertise and advanced knowledge of applications programming, and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What you'll need

• 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and in programming of software applications.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Highly experienced and skilled senior core python-spark developer with 9+ years of experience with software building and platform engineering.
• Expert level knowledge of Big-Data technologies, Spark implementations, python libraries such as pandas, numpy and scipy, and well versed with OOPs concepts and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience on Python, Spark, Hive, Performance Tunning, Trino, Pinot Cluster.
• Extensive development expertise in building high scaled and performant software platforms for data computation and processing.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems.
• Experienced with Unix based operating systems.
• Strong analytical and logical skills.
• Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket, Git etc.
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience working with banking domain like pricing, risk etc.
• Master's degree.
