Senior Software Developer

Overview

Senior Python Engineer to lead microservices-based application design, development, and deployment using FastAPI. You’ll also set up reliability, security, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.

What you'll do

• Lead design, development, and deployment of microservice architecture applications.
• Develop and maintain FastAPI backend services for performance and scalability.
• Implement best practices for logging, monitoring, health checks, scalability, resilience, service discovery, API gateways, and error handling.
• Ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new features.
• Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines and implement API design and security best practices.

What you'll need

• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
• Deep understanding of Pydantic for data validation in FastAPI.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Knowledge of API design and implementation best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and using microservice architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with retriever models, including chunking strategies.
• Familiarity with vector databases and their use cases.
• Understanding of querying LLM models via API.
• Experience with prompt engineering and interaction strategies for LLMs.
• Exposure to prompt engineering techniques in different scenarios.
