Senior Software Developer

Overview

Senior Software Developer role building and modernizing C#/.NET services, adapters and agents that run unattended at customer sites.

What you'll do

• Design and implement services, adapters and agents with clear interfaces and strong test coverage.
• Migrate and refactor legacy components while preserving existing behavior.
• Build secure, observable and resilient components that run unattended at customer sites.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and release support; mentor peers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong production experience with .NET Framework 4.x and modern .NET (.NET 8+), async programming, dependency injection, configuration.
• ASP.NET Core, Worker Services, Windows services, and hosting the same code base on Windows and Linux/containers.
• Migrating .NET Framework projects to modern .NET, replacing System.Web/OWIN/WCF dependencies, multi-targeting, characterization tests.
• Windows platform knowledge: WMI, registry, event log, certificate store, service accounts, 32-bit/64-bit and native interop.
• REST design, versioning, authentication and authorization, OpenAPI.
• PostgreSQL (Npgsql, EF Core/Dapper), migrations; exposure to SQL Server and SQLite.
• Scheduling, retries, timeouts, cancellation, failure isolation, structured logging.
• Unit and integration tests (xUnit/NUnit), mocking, TDD practices.

Nice to have

• Messaging (RabbitMQ), outbox and idempotent-delivery patterns.
• Docker, Kubernetes basics, CI/CD pipelines.
• Python for tooling and integrations; WiX/MSI installers.
• Industrial protocols such as OPC UA; exposure to OT/ICS environments.
