Senior Software Engineer -1

Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Decision Management program in the Pune office, building real-time, intelligent decision products using streaming analytics, business rules and AI engines, and in-memory data grids. The role includes mentoring the team while staying hands-on.

What you'll do

• Design and implement application logic in Java.
• Write unit, integration and functional tests.
• Work with automated testing frameworks such as Rest Assure and Selenium with WebDriver.
• Manage your own time while collaborating with teammates to accomplish project goals.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
• Apply best development practices to write well-designed, maintainable, testable, scalable and secure code.
• Mentor the team while remaining hands-on.

What you'll need

• Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of Java (version 8 or above).
• Strong knowledge of DSA and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of code coverage tools (Sonar) and application security tools (Blackduck and Checkmarx).
• Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and other frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of source code management or version control such as Bitbucket and GitHub.
• Good knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito or EasyMock.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with Oracle.
• Good problem diagnostic and creative problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of scripting in shell, Python or Groovy.
• Good knowledge of observability and application performance monitoring (APM) such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Experience working with high-performance applications.
• Experience working in Agile methodology.
• Experience using project and program management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Good knowledge of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks within the constraints and timelines set by business needs.

Nice to have

• Exposure to or knowledge of cloud, specifically AWS.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and similar tools.
• Experience with build and configuration tools such as Maven, Gradle and Jenkins.
• Experience working with AI models.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Rest Assure and Selenium with WebDriver.
• Experience with IBM ILOG/ODM and Pivotal GemFire Grid.
• Experience with Angular.
