Senior Software Engineer AI, Drug Development IT – Clinical Operations

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (AI) for Drug Development IT in Clinical Operations, working with the GDD data team to deliver automated document generation solutions using Generative AI, Data Science, and analytics.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and fine-tune LLM-based solutions using Claude and other frontier models.
• Build prompt engineering pipelines with system prompts, chain-of-thought frameworks, and few-shot examples.
• Develop AI-powered dashboards, chat interfaces, and data visualization components.
• Architect scalable backend services in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and/or Node.js and build REST/GraphQL endpoints.
• Evaluate model performance, run A/B tests, and implement feedback loops.

What you'll need

• 4-8 years of experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in full stack.
• Hands-on experience with frontier LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, LLaMA) for at least one year.
• Experience with Python, Flask, React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Prompt engineering experience including system prompts, chain-of-thought, and few-shot & zero-shot techniques.
• Experience with model fine-tuning approaches including LoRA, RLHF, and instruction tuning.
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis is expected.
