Senior Software Engineer - Automation/Manual QA Engineer

Overview

Senior QA Engineer role in SimCorp's Product Division, Transactions product area, focused on test automation in C# alongside hands-on manual testing to keep a financial product robust and reliable.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks and related tools using C# when needed
• Execute manual and exploratory testing to validate complex financial solutions and edge cases
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners to define clear, testable requirements
• Analyze and report bugs with clarity and precision
• Help maintain product quality
• Contribute to continuous integration, quality gates, and deployment pipelines

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in QA or software engineering with a focus on test automation
• Proficiency in C# and .NET testing frameworks like SpecFlow
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Comfortable with manual testing in complex business domains (ideally finance or data-heavy systems)
• Solid experience testing APIs, services, and data pipelines
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Agile and BDD practices
