Overview

Senior Software Engineer working on software that supports corrugated manufacturing operations, including scheduling, production control, plant-floor interfaces, reporting, and system integrations.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain enterprise features in a large, mature codebase.
Build solutions using Java 17 and multi-module Gradle builds.
Implement Java EE components including Servlets, EJB 3, and JPA with Hibernate.
Design and deploy applications on Apache TomEE/OpenEJB and troubleshoot deployment issues.
Develop SQL Server logic for query development, optimization, and schema design/analysis.
Design and consume RESTful HTTP APIs and perform JSON serialization using Jackson or Gson.
Work in a Windows-based environment and support build/deployment/operational tasks.

What you'll need

Strong Core Java experience using modern language features (Java 17).
Experience with multi-module Gradle builds.
Solid understanding of Java EE technologies including Servlets, EJB 3, JPA with Hibernate, and container-managed transactions (JTA).
Experience deploying and troubleshooting on Apache TomEE/OpenEJB, including WAR/EAR packaging and datasource configuration.
Strong SQL Server skills including SQL development/optimization and schema design/analysis.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful HTTP APIs.
Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows, plus PowerShell and Windows batch scripting.
