Senior Software Engineer, iOS

Overview

Senior iOS engineer on the Consumer Platform team, owning the mobile app foundation that keeps Roblox fast, fluid, and reliable for millions of players.

What you'll do

• Shape and improve the iOS experience on Roblox.
• Lead architecture and implementation on a large, evolving Swift/Objective-C codebase.
• Push the platform forward by adopting the latest iOS, hardware, and iOS capabilities.
• Partner deeply with product, design, and data science.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of leading the design and delivery of mobile features at scale.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Swift and Objective-C, with a real point of view on modern iOS architecture (Swift Concurrency, SwiftUI/UIKit interop, modularization).
• Experience working in very large codebases with many contributors.
• You know how to ship safely, instrument well, and keep build times sane.
• Strong product sense.
• Excellent judgment under ambiguity.

Details

• Location: San Mateo, CA (headquarters).
• Roles based in the office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
• Annual base salary range: $196,750 to $243,290 USD.
• Full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
• US-based roles: the Company may not be able to employ candidates who have United States work authorization related to certain U.S. visa categories, or support future H-1B sponsorship at this time.
