Senior Software Engineer (Java/ Golang)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Backend, Golang/Java) in Bangalore, working on the CXOS Telco operating system that Circles is building to transform the telco industry.

What you'll do

• Develop new features and modify existing features to meet evolving requirements of the Telco operating system as it expands globally.
• Write comprehensive automated tests (Unit Tests, Integration Tests, Journey Integration Tests) for the features you develop.
• Write performant code and incorporate code review feedback provided by senior developers.
• Maintain attention to detail and quality in all work assignments.
• Participate in R&D work as per the requirements of a capability.
• Actively participate in team discussions and contribute effectively to them.
• Document design details (APIs, design diagrams etc.) under the guidance of senior developers.
• Support production issue troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation of live customer environments and meet customer SLAs.
• Be hands-on with non-functional aspects of the software, including performance and scale, and security.

What you'll need

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years industrial experience with a focus on backend engineering.
• Hands-on development experience in either Java or Golang.
• Hands-on development experience with Relational DBs, preferably MariaDB or MySQL.
• Usage of AI tools for coding.
• A good understanding of commonly used Software Design Patterns.
• Excellent communication skills and team working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL DBs such as MongoDB.
• Experience in modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
