Senior Software Engineer Product Security

Overview

Senior Software Engineer – Product Security is responsible for implementing secure development practices across Rockwell Automation products, from design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components, services, and tools for product security programmes.
• Apply secure coding and security-by-design throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support threat modelling, security reviews, vulnerability remediation, and risk mitigation.
• Develop automation solutions to improve security, compliance, and engineering productivity.
• Integrate security requirements into product designs and implementations with software engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and security findings.
• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines as part of DevSecOps projects.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Experience developing software using one or more of C#, C++, Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Interest in cybersecurity, secure software development, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development practices.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
