Senior Software Engineer - Workday Developer, Studio API, Orchestration

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing Workday HCM solutions, including integrations, compensation, benefits, business process eligibility, security, and reporting.

What you'll do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs associated with the technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
• Analyze business requirements and design and write technical specifications to design or redesign HCM solutions.
• Develop original and/or complex code.
• Understand business/process, review user stories and requirements, and perform development and testing.
• Work in Agile teams, understand the Scrum construct, and participate in all agile/scrum ceremonies.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience in Integrations - EIB's, Core Connectors, Studio, Orchestration for exchanging participant information with benefits carriers.
• Experience working and developing applications using Workday Compensation/Benefits.
• Experience creating or modifying Business Process Eligibility rules and steps.
• Strong Techno-Functional experience in any of these modules: Core HR, Compensation, Benefits.
• Experience working with Workday Developer Agent/GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of usability and accessibility aspects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of Workday Security Reporting - Report Writer, Advanced Reporting.
