Senior Software QA Engineer

Overview

Senior Software QA Engineer in the HPE Hybrid Cloud organization, supporting the GreenLake cloud platform. The role is designed as onsite, primarily from an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Apply knowledge of the complete SDLC and software testing methodology, tools, and processes.
• Develop test strategy and test planning, and execute testing.
• Own the automation strategy and the tools required to enhance a test automation framework.
• Test functional, regression, and scale scenarios using appropriate tools and processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and apply strong analytical skills.
• Collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team.
• Participate hands-on in Scrum under Agile methodology.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and related software.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 8+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in programming with Python.
• Strong automation background.
• Strong system engineering knowledge.
• Knowledge of storage domain: block, file, and object file systems, protocols, and data path testing.
• Knowledge of networking concepts.
• Knowledge of Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git/GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Linux/VM environments.
• Strong knowledge of AI workflows and AI tools.
• Self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with AI-based SDLC.
