Senior Specialist - Finance and Accounts

Overview

Senior Specialist, Finance and Accounting (Grade C2) within the Management Accounting (COE) team, part of Marsh's risk, reinsurance and capital business. The role supports annual statutory reporting and local compliance for multiple entities.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts for entities as part of COE.
• Make time-bound submissions of annual statutory accounts per regulatory timelines.
• Engage with local controllers and the statutory accounting team to create templates in the statutory reporting tool (Caseware / Workiva) and notes to accounts before the filing due date.
• Provide audit support until signing of the final statutory report.
• Prepare tax returns and other local compliances.
• Adhere to the operation tracker set for the team and ensure completeness with accuracy.
• Assist in filing timely regulatory returns.
• Adopt best practices across regions and suggest process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain DPMs (process notes) up to date in the format adopted by AO.
• Support team, process and organization initiatives.

What you'll need

• Qualified CA with 2-3 years of experience in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts.
• Or: strong commerce graduate with 6+ years of accounting experience in statutory accounting, taxation and finalization of accounts.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Prior experience in similar roles.

Nice to have

• Diploma in IFRS.
• Prior working experience in the insurance sector.

Details

• Location: Mumbai / Pune.
• Hybrid role: at least three days per week in the office; office-based teams identify one anchor day per week when the full team is together in person.
