Senior Specialist - Ingredient Compliance

Overview

Senior Specialist in Regulatory Compliance responsible for reviewing raw materials used in the flavor industry and determining their approval status, based in Mumbai, India (remote role).

What you'll do

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry.
• Determine the approval status of raw materials based on review of vendor documentation, current company practices, and knowledge of the regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory issues/tasks.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations to allow for proper implementation within the company.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to accurately assess, document, and maintain the regulatory status of newly developed reactions, ingredients, and formulations.

What you'll need

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance.
• Good knowledge in legal and safety aspects of flavors.
• Ability to work with defined timelines, priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
• Perform responsibilities with a positive attitude and an ability to work autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
• Multi-tasker who can manage different priorities while maintaining a high level of service.

Nice to have

• Experience preferably within the flavors, food or chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of global food / flavor regulation.
• Skilled at project management.
• Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
