Senior Specialty Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer

Overview

Senior Specialty Software Engineer in a hands-on individual contributor role, leading or participating in complex initiatives in selected domains.

What you'll do

• Lead or participate in complex initiatives on selected domains
• Assure quality, security and compliance for supported systems and applications
• Serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions
• Review and evaluate user needs and determine requirements
• Provide technical support, advice, and consultation on issues relating to supported applications
• Create test data and conduct interface and unit tests
• Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
• Understand and participate to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area are met, and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Conduct research and resolve problems related to processes, recommend solutions and process improvements
• Assist other individuals in advanced software development
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have

• Full-stack development expertise: 4+ years of experience building single page applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Next.js, Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc.
• Develop and maintain large scale applications using Java, Python, Go, GCP public cloud, and other relevant technologies
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud native experience: 3+ years with Google Cloud, developing and deploying cloud native solutions
• Experience with Terraform development
• Generative AI solution design: 2+ years designing and developing Generative AI frameworks and solutions
• Building generative AI applications using ADK, OpenAI Agent Frameworks, LangChain, LangGraph, and similar tools
• Proven track record (5+ years) designing and developing enterprise-grade applications with scalability, security, and performance in mind
• Agility and self-starter mindset: ability to iterate quickly, adapt to evolving requirements, and deliver solutions at speed
