Overview
Build a modular Automotive Ethernet SDK in Embedded C for portability across multiple MCU platforms. Drive SDK architecture, platform abstraction, MCU bring-up, automation, and production-ready Ethernet solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded C software for a modular Automotive Ethernet SDK supporting multiple MCU families.
- Separate common Ethernet and switch functionality from MCU-specific dependencies through well-defined hardware, platform, and OS abstraction interfaces.
- Port and integrate the SDK across MCU architectures, board configurations, tool chains, and bare-metal or RTOS environments.
- Develop and adapt platform interfaces for device communication, interrupts, DMA, timers, memory management, and synchronization.
- Maintain consistent SDK APIs and behavior across supported platforms while accommodating differences in hardware capabilities and resource constraints.
- Develop reusable reference applications, configuration mechanisms, and porting documentation to simplify adoption on new MCU platforms.
- Create automated tests and cross-platform build coverage to verify functionality, portability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with hardware, validation, and customer-facing teams on MCU bring-up, integration debugging, and production-quality SDK releases.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with experience in embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C, modular software design, low-level drivers, and hardware-software debugging.
- Hands-on experience porting reusable software across MCU platforms, with an understanding of hardware abstraction, BSPs, cross-compilation, and bare-metal or RTOS environments.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet networking, Git, build systems, and automated testing.
Nice to have
- Experience with multiple MCU architectures.
- Experience with Automotive Ethernet switches.
- Experience with PTP/TSN.
- Experience with automotive functional safety practices.
