Senior Staff Engineer - Test

Overview

Senior Staff Engineer in Test (IC5) serving as the principal technical authority for test architecture, automation strategy, and quality engineering across multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platforms.

What you'll do

• Define and own a multi-year quality architecture vision for core platform services.
• Design self-healing, high-throughput, parallelized automation frameworks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Pioneer shift-left quality engineering approaches such as contract testing, chaos engineering, shadow testing, and AI-assisted automation.
• Establish standards for test code quality, framework design patterns, and non-functional resilience.
• Design and scale unified test automation frameworks across UI, API, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Lead performance, load, stress, chaos, and resilience testing strategies to support 99.99% availability.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of progressive software engineering in test/QA automation, at principal technical leader level (IC4/IC5).
• Deep experience with distributed cloud architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, and SaaS delivery.
• Mastery of data structures, algorithms, OOD, and software architecture patterns for production-grade test software.
• Hands-on automation expertise in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript plus test frameworks like Playwright/Cypress/Selenium/RestAssured/Appium.
• Expertise in load testing (JMeter/K6/Locust), resilience testing (Chaos Mesh/Gremlin), and observability tools (Datadog/New Relic/Prometheus/Grafana).
• Experience with AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, REST/GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL, and Kafka/RabbitMQ.
