Shipping Operator

Overview

Shipping Operator for the Fontana, CA Supply Chain team. You will manage inbound receipt, inventory handling, order assembly, and shipment preparation using warehouse equipment and scan/verification processes.

What you'll do

• Operate a forklift and other equipment for receipt and shipment tasks for finished goods and supplies.
• Read and interpret Pick Lists and pull finished product from inventory.
• Assemble orders and prepare shipments according to company policy and customer requests.
• Receive inbound finished goods and supplies from other locations and transfer to storage locations.
• Examine, count, document, and confirm quantities and external condition.
• Verify counts/condition against documents, record shortages/overages, and report discrepancies.
• Use an RF bar code scanner for put-away and item retrievals to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and perform other assigned duties.

What you'll need

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 6 months experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to read numbers and read English.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to meet forklift certification requirements via company training.
• Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record and work any shift and overtime as needed.
