Overview

The Platform & Web Lead is responsible for technical architecture, development, performance, and continuous optimisation of Valerie’s digital platforms across multiple brands, with Shopify as the primary platform.

What you'll do

• Own technical architecture and ongoing optimisation of ecommerce and web platforms across brands.
• Lead Shopify development and support other web platforms, CMS solutions, and landing page technologies.
• Manage website infrastructure including hosting, domains, CDN, and deployment processes.
• Drive technical SEO and performance improvements including Core Web Vitals and technical audits.
• Build and maintain integrations across Shopify, CRM/ERP, payment gateways, and third-party applications.
• Implement analytics and improve conversion through CRO, experimentation, and tracking frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, setting standards, and leading code reviews and architecture discussions.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience in Shopify and ecommerce development.
• Full-stack development experience using Shopify, Liquid, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable frontend/backend solutions using React and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and website performance optimisation.
• Experience implementing GA4, GTM, and ecommerce tracking.
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, and modern development workflows.
• Experience with integrations using REST APIs and managing platform/business systems.
