Overview
Lead frontend architecture and product craft for a large React and TypeScript application, while establishing standards for performance, component reuse, and safe agent-written code.
What you'll do
- Define the frontend architecture, stack, state, data fetching, routing, module boundaries, and build tooling.
- Consolidate shared primitives into one component system and migrate the product onto it.
- Own performance metrics, bundle budgets, Lighthouse, real-user vitals, and Sentry findings.
- Partner with designers on layout, density, motion, hierarchy, and product quality.
- Design typed boundaries, lint rules, visual regression tests, and feedback loops for coding-agent output.
- Review, mentor, and set the frontend engineering bar across India and the US.
- Converge workflow-builder generations and design interaction patterns for streaming agent results.
What you'll need
- 8+ years building production frontend applications.
- Deep React and TypeScript experience.
- Ownership of frontend architecture, build tooling, component systems, test strategy, and release safety.
- Demonstrated experience setting and improving performance metrics.
- Strong product judgment and ability to give precise interface feedback.
- Ability to evaluate coding-agent output and build safeguards for it.
- Clear written communication across time zones.
Nice to have
- Design systems experience.
- Experience with data-dense or document-heavy products.
- 0-to-1 or early-stage experience.
- B2B SaaS experience.
- Experience with LLM-backed interfaces.
Details
- Remote in India.
- Bangalore preferred.
- Overlap with San Francisco colleagues is roughly 9 PM–2 AM IST.
- Working hours outside the overlap window are flexible.
