Overview

Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack (Frontend Heavy) for AlphaSense’s Content Experience Team, building scalable and reliable software that powers the platform.

What you'll do

• Design and build high-quality, performant, scalable software systems across backend and frontend.
• Own technical architecture and reliability of backend services alongside frontend microapps.
• Lead technical design discussions and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Take ownership of full-stack projects from backend APIs to front-end integration.
• Apply DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native best practices to improve delivery efficiency.
• Mentor and coach engineers to raise the technical bar across the team.
• Build and integrate intelligent features leveraging LLMs, agents, and AI frameworks where they add user value.

What you'll need

• Require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of software development experience building scalable, high-performing applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript with full-stack development experience.
• Expertise in React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Experience with one backend language/framework (e.g., Node.js, Java, or Python).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Solr/Vespa/Lucene).
• Cloud-native development experience with AWS or GCP.
