Software Developer - I

Overview

Develop backend features and changes for the Mettl Assessment Platform using Java, Spring Boot, and web services. The role involves collaborating with product teams and taking changes through testing and production.

What you'll do

• Develop new features and modifications for backend servers.
• Work with the Product Team to understand change requests.
• Analyze requests and propose implementation approaches.
• Estimate development effort for requested changes.
• Move changes through to the production environment.
• Unit-test developed functionality.
• Participate in load testing when required.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of experience building large-scale software applications.
• 3–4 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing web applications.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with web services including microservices, REST, SOAP, or Web API.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or engineering.
• Familiarity with design and architectural patterns.

Nice to have

• Professional certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good troubleshooting and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Details

• Location: Gurugram.
• Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office.
