Software Development Engineer 3

Overview

Software Development Engineer 3 responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting software solutions for the Benefits Technology team.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges.
• Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.
• Develop and maintain micro frontends with React.js.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful backend APIs.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with React.js, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core and RESTful API design or integration.
• Experience with Docker, a modern relational database, Git, and Git-based workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with TDD, BDD, microservice, and vertical slice architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#.
• Ability to quickly learn or experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Helm/ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and NoSQL databases.
