Overview

Staff Backend Engineer responsible for end-to-end design, reliability, and ownership of a critical backend service/domain.

What you'll do

Design, build, and own scalable distributed systems and microservices in your domain.
Lead development of complex features and technical initiatives end-to-end.
Drive system design, API design, and engineering best practices.
Own scalability, performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.
Proactively identify gaps, risks, or improvements and drive them to resolution.
Handle production issues, drive RCA, and lead follow-through improvements.

What you'll need

8–12 years of backend engineering experience.
Experience building and owning distributed systems at scale.
Expertise in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Go.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and system design.
Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and performance/scalability/concurrency.
Strong coding and problem-solving ability.
