Software Development Engineer II

Overview

Full-stack Software Engineer II role on a team developing and testing power generation control systems that are remotely controlled and monitored through web and mobile technology, including web-enabling embedded real-time control systems.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using C#, JavaScript, Angular, Blazor, Node.js, and Linux-based technologies, delivering scalable and reliable functionality.
• Select technical solutions and approaches and participate in the subsequent design and development process to create cost effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to integrated product solutions that use embedded and server-based software systems to control and monitor power generation systems.
• Write code to develop new applications, enhancements and fixes to existing web and desktop applications using best practice design patterns to ensure performance and scalability.
• Implement application designs that meet market needs and are easily extended with evolving business needs. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of the product API with internal and external consumers.
• Write user and technical specifications in line with business needs.
• Participate in collaborative design sessions, agile planning, and retrospective ceremonies.
• Stay abreast of emerging technical trends and coding best practices.
• Help design and develop production programming tools.

What you'll need

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
• 3 years of relevant work experience
