Software Engineer - 4 to 8yrs - Java/Springboot, React/Angular, CI/CD

Overview

Software Engineer for Cisco’s CI/CD Platform team, building a full-stack CI/CD and release automation platform for enterprise workflows.

What you'll do

• Use AI-assisted development tools across the Agile SDLC from requirements through documentation.
• Build full-stack CI/CD platform features like pipeline state, release workflows, and deployment visibility.
• Develop backend services in Java (Spring Boot) and frontend using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Contribute AI-native platform capabilities such as MCP servers and AI agents for deployment failure detection and rollback guidance.
• Implement unit and end-to-end tests for CI/CD flows from trigger through verify.
• Deploy and operate platform services using CI/CD, GitOps, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Optimize performance and reliability by profiling, tuning databases/APIs, and improving scalability.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience writing production code and tests for large-scale systems.
• 4+ years of full-stack experience with Java/Spring Boot backend plus React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools across the Agile SDLC.
• Ability to design relational data models, APIs, and database performance/migrations using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
• CI/CD tooling experience for build, test, artifact publishing, and deployment (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of deployment/release tooling such as Argo CD (GitOps), Ansible (VM-based), and Harness (or equivalent).
• Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
