Software Engineer - AI Platform

Overview

Software Engineer to build next-generation AI capabilities on top of a relational database engine, owning end-to-end application layers, business logic, and API workflows.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end feature development from design through implementation to production deployment.
• Integrate production applications with AI/agent frameworks and interoperability protocols for scalable APIs.
• Build secure, versioned, multi-tenant data models with auditability and data classification.
• Implement services that deploy consistently across multiple clouds and on-premises, using CI/CD.
• Set and achieve feature-level performance goals via query optimization, profiling, caching, and security practices.
• Own application components, facilitate design/code reviews, and mentor team members in an async-first environment.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years focused on data-intensive applications, database-adjacent features, or enterprise software.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a non-trivial production feature or module.
• Hands-on production experience deploying and managing application services across at least two public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience integrating or building vector databases, embedding pipelines, semantic search, or RAG systems.
• Prior experience building or integrating LLM-based applications/workflows using AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain or equivalent).
• Strong Python proficiency and high proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java, or C++).
