Software Engineer - Android HMI

Overview

Develop and maintain Android Automotive modules and components, from requirements analysis through realization, integration, testing, and defect resolution.

What you'll do

• Analyze requirements and ensure feature traceability and maturity.
• Develop and own Android Automotive system components.
• Deliver software for integration.
• Implement test strategies and document results.
• Perform pre-integration testing and verification.
• Triage and resolve defects and cross-domain dependencies.
• Mentor less experienced team members.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of overall experience.
• 3+ years modifying Android framework components, system services, and the Android SDK.
• Expertise in the Android Framework, AOSP architecture, and related build system.
• Understanding of Android Automotive and the Car Framework.
• Knowledge of Android components, including Services, Broadcast Receivers, Content Providers, and Treble Architecture.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC, with agile cross-functional collaboration experience.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• Work from office with in-person collaboration, five days per week.
