Software Engineer, CDP - Foundations

Overview

Build backend services and APIs for the CDP Foundations team, enabling businesses and partners to access Coinbase's crypto infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services in microservices and distributed architectures.
• Define internal and customer-facing APIs for CDP.
• Deliver features from implementation through deployment and monitoring.
• Improve reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
• Lead incident response and support high code quality standards.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of professional experience building production backend services.
• Experience working with microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience designing and shipping internal or customer-facing APIs.
• Familiarity with deployment, testing, observability, and monitoring tools.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly with human oversight.

Details

• Remote in the USA.
• Quarterly in-person working sessions are expected.
• Annual base salary: $152,405–$179,300 USD.
