Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role on the Plex Manufacturing Cloud team, helping develop the next-generation data platform and improve the current Analytics platform.

What you'll do

• Work as part of a time zone-distributed agile team in a Continuous Delivery model
• Write testable .NET code along with unit, integration and functional tests
• Develop and deploy high volume, high transaction based, distributed and redundant cloud applications
• Understand, explain and implement modern distributed architecture for scalable and fast applications

What you'll need

• A Bachelor's in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of professional development experience

Nice to have

• Experience building microservices and HTTP APIs
• Demonstrated understanding of design patterns, principles, and frameworks
• Demonstrated understanding of security concepts and best practices
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of SQL and No-SQL data stores
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Experience with messaging platforms (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc)
• Experience working as part of a time zone-distributed team
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with the Azure cloud
• Experience troubleshooting front end UI
