Software Engineer - Full Stack

Overview

Software Engineer (Full Stack) role contributing across the development life cycle of Smartsheet's products, with work on system architecture, feature delivery, service APIs and quality assurance.

What you'll do

• Contribute to the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
• Participate in system architecture discussions
• Implement new features and improve the ones already built
• Maintain existing service APIs and develop new ones
• Participate in all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution
• Interact with systems engineers to debug infrastructure problems
• Actively use AI tools to improve personal and team efficiency across coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting, explore AI integration opportunities within team processes and features, and coach others on effective AI use
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need

• 3-4 years of experience with Java Full Stack
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js and CSS pre-processors (front-end engineers)
• Experience with Object Oriented design
• Familiarity with Microservice Architecture
• Experience building scalable, high availability applications
• BSc. or MSc. in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis
• Fluency in English is required

Nice to have

• Experience with DynamoDB and other non-relational databases
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL
• Experience with AWS, and/or AWS qualifications (AWS Developer, AWS Solution Architect)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with service orchestration tools, e.g. k8s, HashiCorp
• Experience with Linux debugging commands like tcpdump and strace
