Software Engineer (GO/Java | 8-12 years)

Overview

Backend Engineer role on the Cisco Cloud Control team, building the integrations and features that power Cisco's global platform.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver robust backend features, focusing on functional excellence and long-term scalability.
• Guide and support teammates, fostering knowledge sharing and technical best practices.
• Drive sophisticated product integrations and AI-native solutions that extend the value of the Cisco portfolio.
• Partner closely with frontend and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end user experiences.
• Build and maintain reliable, high-performance services that support a global enterprise user base.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of hands-on backend development experience with Go or Java.
• Strong experience working with AWS.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong grasp of DevOps practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.
• A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies.
• Experience with AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
