Software Engineer II B - GBS IND

Overview

Software Engineer II role in Bank of America's Global Business Services (BA Continuum India) to enhance and maintain the eProfile enterprise application, a shared service platform that serves customer profiles.

What you'll do

• Enhance and maintain the existing enterprise application eProfile, including onboarding new consuming applications and enhancing existing functionality.
• Perform analysis and design for new requirements and review them with the platform engineering team.
• Implement code and collaborate with the team for review.
• Ensure changes pushed to higher environments are error free.
• Own weekly and monthly deliverables, working closely with leads to deliver on time and with high quality.
• Actively participate in code reviews and suggest improvements.
• Actively participate in agile meetings such as scrum and sprint planning, and proactively raise impediments affecting delivery.
• Take ownership of assigned initiatives from design through implementation.
• Ensure code meets application standards and follows best practices.
• Drive defect triages with other teams to identify and fix root causes.
• Convert business requirements into technical implementation.
• Suggest process and project optimizations.

What you'll need

• BE / MCA education.
• 4 to 8 years of experience.
• Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, BRMS (Groovy), and Web services JAX-WS and JAX-RS.
• Servers: IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache Tomcat.
• Mapping frameworks such as Dozer or MapStruct.
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven, with POM and BOM dependency management.
• Knowledge of creating agents.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud and its monitoring tools.
• Log4j and Splunk.

• Work timings: 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST, flexible as per business need.
