Software Engineer III

Overview

Software Engineer III is an individual contributor role focused on delivering production-quality software for defined components or features, translating requirements into maintainable, secure, and reliable systems.

What you'll do

• Translate requirements into production-quality systems with secure engineering practices.
• Build software with performance, resilience, extensibility, and security in mind.
• Apply testing strategies aligned with deployment confidence and operational agreements.
• Maintain operational health using logs, monitoring, and metrics to diagnose issues.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews with guidance.
• Write and maintain runbooks, documentation, and operational knowledge for owned components.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute to production software systems.
• Experience working in Agile cross-functional product development teams.
• Proficiency in one modern backend stack (.NET/C# essential, with Java or Node.js) and familiarity with SQL/data skills.
• Understanding of system design and domain modelling (SOLID, design patterns, API design).
• Experience writing unit/integration tests and CI/CD; cloud/DevOps exposure (preferably AWS) including observability and operational readiness.
