Software Engineer III - GBS IND

Overview

Software Engineer III on the ALS (Advanced Loan System) Applications team at BA Continuum India, supporting critical mainframe applications for mortgage and vehicle servicing and fulfillment, and leading the India team's technology solutions for major initiatives.

What you'll do

• Support and maintain critical mainframe applications for home loans fulfillment application
• Lead India team in development of technology solutions for major initiatives
• Participate in design and provide solutions for strategic initiatives
• Take ownership and drive execution of application development, enhancements, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with CIO partners to understand major initiatives, critical projects and prioritize deliverables from India team
• Ensure code quality through reviews and unit testing
• Manage Build & CI pipeline tools and design end-to-end CI/CD workflows
• Utilize structured project management methodologies, including Agile, and tools like JIRA

What you'll need

• Graduation / Post Graduation
• 15+ years of development experience with COBOL, VSAM, DB2, JCL, Eztrieve, CA-7, and Assembly language
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in CICS
• 10+ years of experience with setting up MQs and CICS Webservice Integration with midrange platforms
• 5+ years of experience in API development using Z/OS, exposing REST APIs
• 6+ years of experience with code quality, code review, static analysis, and unit test tools
• Experience in Build & CI pipeline management tools, including designing and executing CI/CD workflows
• 6+ years of experience with Endeavor or ISPW code management tools
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies and tools like JIRA

Nice to have

• Mortgage Domain Knowledge and working experience in delivery of Mortgage Fulfillment projects
