Software Engineer (Java, Android/Kotlin/IOS/Javascript)

Overview

Analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for organizational products and systems, including high-performance Wave PTX client applications and web portals. Perform software and hardware integration and develop, validate, and test structures and user documentation.

What you'll do

• Analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for the organization’s products and systems.
• Perform system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
• Develop, validate, and test structures and user documentation.
• Develop high quality mobile applications for public safety and enterprise communication using Android and Flutter frameworks.
• Bridge Java/Kotlin with native C/C++ code using JNI.
• Work with SWIG-generated wrapper classes for native API exposure.
• Manage multithreading, thread management, synchronization, concurrency, and performance optimization.

What you'll need

• Proficiency in the Telecom Domain.
• Hands-on experience developing high quality mobile applications for public safety and enterprise communication using Android and Flutter frameworks.
• Extensive experience with SIP, RTP, RTCP, and TCP/UDP protocols.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Java for Android development.
• Working knowledge and experience integrating Kotlin modules in Java-based projects.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK (API 35+), Activity/Fragment lifecycle, Services, and BroadcastReceivers.
• Knowledge of the Repository pattern and Android Architecture Components.
• Proficiency with multi-module Gradle projects, build variants, flavors, and dependency management.
• Proficiency with Android Studio debugging tools, profilers, and build optimization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Android framework APIs.
• Knowledge of Activity, Fragment, Services, Content Providers, and Intent filters.
• Knowledge of power management, background limits, and telephony APIs.
• Hands-on experience bridging Java/Kotlin with native C/C++ code using Java Native Interface (JNI).
• Understanding of memory allocation, deallocation, and leak prevention between Java and native layers.

Nice to have

• Hands-on knowledge of Flutter or similar cross platform.
